Store Security Guard Fired for Interrogating 4-Year Old

A grocery store guard questioned a little girl because he had seen her eat some fruit that her father didn’t pay for. The father hadn’t noticed that his 4-year old had done this.  The guard made her sign a paper that she was banned from the store and told her father that charges would be pressed. This little girl didn’t even know how to write.

The store issued an apology to the girl and her family, fired the guard and said the company would review its security guard training.

This incident illustrates that improper actions while on duty as a security guard can get you fired. You must be extremely careful when handling incidents involving children.
